Earlier this week, I released the latest episode on the Get Lit(erate). podcast where I talked with Jeannine Atkins. Janine is the author of several books for young readers about courageous women and teaches writing for children and young adults.
In that episode, we explored the pivotal role that reading and writing played in Jeanine’s life and healing, the power of writing that comes off of the page, Jeannine’s advice for getting started on your own healing journey and the quiet courage it takes to tell your story.
One of her unique practices on the page came in the form of short letters to her favorite literary authors and characters. I was so inspired by the practice that I’ve started adding more letter-writing to my own notebooking routine. It’s such a powerful practice that I wish I’d do more of, so I created these lovely printable letter templates to help me do just that and now I’m sharing them with you!
