Congrats on the consistent climb -- one step at a time! Birds are a wonderful hobby, you can enjoy them wherever you travel in the world -- try The Thing with Feathers podcast, it's lovely! The Brett Larkin AI episode was so thought-provoking! I'm going to investigate this idea -- very intriguing!
I love your story about the mountain! Great job! Related -- we were in the Grand Canyon recently on vacation, and I was huffing and puffing at 7000, struggling, too, with my asthma while being out-of-shape. I have now vowed to start an exercise program, get some movement into my days.
Also, I have pre-ordered Where The Wildflowers Grow on your recommendation!
And, speaking of birds, I heard about a book yesterday that sounds excellent: We Should All Be Birds by Brian Buckbee and Carol Ann Fitzgerald, which I cannot wait to get my hands on! It's about a man, who has a chronic illness (maybe chronic fatigue syndrome?) and meets and befriends a pigeon. I heard the authors on a podcast, and the books sounds so, so good!
Oh, I am so glad to hear about the pre-order. This book is EVERYTHING. And now, I'm heading online to find WE SHOULD ALL BE BIRDS. I saw it the other day, too, so your comment is a sign I need it!
For a new birdlover, have you seen Maria Popova's Almanac of Birds card deck? It's gorgeous and her poems strike right in the heart of the heart.
Oh, I love a good card deck! Heading online to take a peek!
Let me know if you get it! The print on the cards is kinda small, but I love them.
So glad I found you, Stephanie. I am really enjoying your outlook on books, journaling and a bibliocentric life!

I added the podcast and plan to binge on a walk! Thank you!

Great job climbing that mountain! I love how you were determined to make it happen! Have a great day, Stephanie!
Thank you, Amy! Upholders, unite! =)
I love this story Stephanie. Your grit and drive inspire me this morning. I hope you have a wonderful weekend.
Thank you, Francene! It's been unexpected, but tackling this challenge makes me feel so GOOD!
